activeguy29Texas: What does it mean when I woman asks you: “How do you feel about feminism?”?
This is a woman that I met on a dating website and that I have talked with on the phone for the first time. After the telephone conversation she sent me an email asking: “How do you feel about feminism?”.
Does this mean anything? Why would she ask that question? I am a foreigner from a european country so I don’t know but is it possible that she is a lesbian? Sorry, if I offended anyone by asking about her being lesbian. Please educate me!

It means you should find another woman my friend.
It has nothing to do with being a lesbian. Obviously, if you’re talking with her on a dating site, she can’t be. Most feminists are straight. I highly suggest that you find a dictionary, look up the word “feminism,” and get back to her — if she’ll still talk to you after THAT moment of brilliance.Answer by shahed

Feminism does not lead to being a lesbian, nor does it mean that the person is against men. Feminism is the idea that men and women are created equal and should be considered equal in all aspects of life.Answer by vintner
She’s not a lesbian if she’s approaching a known MAN on a dating website.
If you don’t know what feminism is, educate yourself with a google search. Then, decide how you feel about it. Then, answer her question. If she wants to date you after that, great. If she doesn’t, great. You’ve eliminated some effort if you weed her out.

Answer by c’mon, cliffyAs others have pointed out, very unlikely that this is code for being a lesbian. Most likely it means that she has some strong feelings about feminism herself. Tell her the truth. If you don’t know much about feminism, tell her that and ask her to suggest something to read to learn about it. What she suggests you read, will probably tip you off to her own feelings. But truly, honesty is the best policy with these kinds of issues. Don’t pretend to be something you’re not.Answer by I Love Howie Carr
1. She loves feminism. Run. She feels inferior and nothing you can do or say will ever change her attitude.
2. She is sick of feminists telling her what to do. She appreciates her womanly qualities and wants someone else to appreciate them too.
More information is needed! Talk to her about it.
Answer by affraidofamericansYou need to run away as fast as you can. Imagine for a moment that you somehow get stuck with this woman, trust me, if you are that unlucky everyday of your life will be like an episode of “Golden Girls.” Feminists will often comment on how they want equality for women, but their real agenda is equivalent to holding a man down, while demons (in the form of Rosie O’Donnell) tear his soul from his body.
Run Away.Answer by madame_mao
She wants to know if you believe that women are equal to men. It has nothing to do with sexual orientation and calling a feminist a lesbian is silencing her.
