Stacy Adams: What does a mother need to do to get a marriage license for a 17 year old?
Is it just a signature? Does the biological mother have to sign tons of paperwork. What if a guardian have custody over the 17 year old ? Can the biological mother still sign? Please no negative comments saying wait , or 17 is too young .

The person who has custody is the one who will have to sign. If you are not the custodial parent your signature means nothing.
If the “mother” truly loves the child, she won’t do it…the kid can get married on his or her own after their next birthday anyway…
Why be a party to an early divorce???
Answer by WillaThe legal guardian is the one who has to sign. The the biological mother does not have custody, she cannot sign on behalf of the child. However, really what the mother needs to do is have her head examined for even thinking of allowing a 17 year old to marry. That is simply setting this child up for a life of misery and poverty.
