since i worked there in april here are the vacations she took

1 week in each of the following mnths:
april
june
august
november
january
march-has been booked.

what’s up with that

What’s annoying is when she takes a vacation every 2 months, but when you ask off 1 week a year and they can’t give it to you. lol

when you the boss and signing the checks you can make decisions on who and when a vacation can be taken. Until then I’d mind my own business.

If she earned the vacation time – she is entitled to use it.
Where I work if I do not take any vacation in one year, by the end of the next year I am on “use it or loss it” time. I can no longer gather anymore time off.

Besides why is this a concern of yours? do you have to do her work while she is away? If so in these times be happy for work of any type.

hmm has she been there a long time??? If I had a lot of vacation built up, I would take time off. Or maybe she’s independantly wealthy and has a job just for “fun”… I know it’s sickening when you work your tail off and others coast thru… but hopefully your boss will see that you are the more dependable one.

wow. what IS up with that!? i barely get time off in my own job! i cant even get a week =|. i think this case would be very annoying if you had to do HER work while she is gone on vacation. my advice is to just try to look past it. its her own business. and if she keeps it up maybe she will get fired? ; ) heehee.

Some companies offer up to 6 weeks of vacation, so if she has been there long enough, she is ENTITLED.

Obviously the boss approved her vacation time or she would not be able to take it. And, if there is a holiday Monday in any of those weeks, she may not have taken all of her vacation allotment and could be entitled to another week.

Be thankful she has spread them out–I once worked with someone who was entitled to 6 weeks vacation and she waited until the last day to sign up, bumped people out of their vacation time, and took 4 weeks in June and July.
