navillusette: What color hosiery does a bride usually wear?
As a bride, is it typical to wear white pantyhose? Or nude? My dress and veil are very traditional. I’m wearing open toed shoes. Any advice?

White or nude.
Nude or tan, you don’t want to look like a nurse.
How silly white hose would look when you do the garder thing.
Answer by HarmonyFor open toed shoes, I would suggest these:
hose without toes
You won’t have a seam over your toe from your hosiery. You can paint your toe nails nicely without your hose hiding it 🙂
I suggest either “nude” or “tan” depending on your skin tone.
Answer by smcif i were you i would wear tan or nude
all the weddings ive been to they have wore tan or nude or noneAnswer by ♥Baby Stain #2 is due in April!♥
Nude with fishnets and high heels. I have a contact who can further assist you. I’ll star this.Answer by Sky
I’m going with nude. I was going to wear ivory fishnets but couldn’t find any ivory colored fishnets in my size.
Nude is sexier anyway, IMO.
Answer by bubbles_meupI’ll probably get thumbs down for this but I did not wear hosiery on my wedding day. I can’t stand the way it feels so I never wear it.Answer by The Thriftmaster.

i didn’t wear any hosiery on my wedding day- i didn’t think brides still wore it. if you want to wear hosiery and are wearing open toed shoes- i suggest tan or nude coloured- but get some footless hosiery so the seam won’t show across the top of your toes and paint you toenails a pretty colour- perhaps the colour of your bridesmaid dresses or a colour that matches your bouquetAnswer by tigergirl11
im not wearing any. but if you really want to i would suggest nude or tan and preferably without toes. you can get footless.Answer by Sunny
i wore open toe shoes and did not wear any pantyhose at all. most brides that i know did not wear any pantyhose.Answer by Lydia
Nude, gosh not white.Answer by Cupcake’s Princess
I didn’t wear any hosiery. I had the most fabulous open-toed shoes and didn’t want to ruin the look with hose. I got a nice pedicure the afternoon before the wedding, so my feet and toenails were pretty. It was also a relatively warm day and I didn’t want that clinging feeling of pantyhose, or another pantyline/waistband to be fussing with.Answer by Sandy S
Nude would be best. If pantyhose aren’t your thing, though, you could always go for a suspender (garter?) belt and stockings – very sexy.Answer by J R
Either white or nude. Be sure any kind of hoisery you wear isn’t a reinforced toe though. You can also wear stockings or thigh hi’s if pantyhose aren’t your thing.Answer by cack7723
You can wear either nude or white pantyhose.. I don’t see anything wrong with wearing a sexy white ultra sheer pantyhose. I like the idea of open toed high heel shoes even with hose.. You should invest in some high quality ultra sheer pantyhose or actual silk stockings and a garter belt; your husband will definitely enjoy that on the wedding night. Pantyhose with just a simple seam across the toes that you can tuck just under your toes so they don’t show that much or toeless stockings would be hot too with open toed shoes. Show off your toes!
😀
Answer by brianveggieI would suggest white pantyhose with your white dress. It is “the” bridal color. All the other ladies are supposed to avoid wearing white (except flower-girls), so wear white pantyhose, and wear it proudly.
Wearing pantyhose with open toed shoes is fine IF you make sure to wear “sandal-foot” pantyhose, and tuck the seam under your toes. Do NOT wear reinforced toe pantyhose with open toed shoes. Even “lightly reinforced” will stick out and tarnish your bridal ensemble.
If you have a Wolford store near you, you might want to splurge and buy some really nice white pantyhose for your special day. They are VERY expensive (starting $ 40.00 a pair), but they have white pantyhose in sheer and shiny styles. Be careful though – you might have a hard time switching back to your regular pantyhose brand when you get back from your honeymoon.
