What type of entertainment could you have at a small wedding?

: What type of entertainment could you have at a small wedding?
I mean small as in 40 max number of guests. Other than dancing what else is there that one could do for entertainment? I’m still contemplating on having a wedding or not. It will be in a year and a half but I know time is important for planning and what not.

I was recently associated with a Bride and Groom who had their ceremony at an historical site followed by a reception at a local restaurant for about 75 people. The Bride and Groom did not want a DJ or a band but they did want some type of entertainment during the social hour and dinner so they hired a string quartet that played classical, semi-classical and contemporary music. The music was quite enjoyable and a pleasant change from big audio speakers.
