What careers would a history degree lead on to?

Liam F: What careers would a history degree lead on to?
I live in the UK and i’m planning to go to one of the top 20 universities, probably Durham, Sheffield, Manchester etc. What careers is this likely to lead on to?

I would say your best bet is teaching with writing on the side. Teaching at a university is a wonderful deal if you can get tenure track.
