: What can a father do to obtain visitation rights when he is already the legal father?
This is in the state of texas. The ex cannot be found or contacted and has the daughter. An acknowledgment of paternity was establish since the birth of the little girl at the hospital and the father’s name is on the birth certificate. And if she was found but refuses visitation, what action must be taken?

If she is found he would have to petition for custody with the court. They will determine whether he should have visitation, whether it should be supervised, and how often he can see the child.
