Nathan L: What are the major combined messages of all formal religions?
I don’t want to follow any particular religion. But it would be beneficial as a person, I believe, to follow the grouped concepts of all religions.

Some think you can do enough good to go to heaven in various forms (sacraments, prayers, deeds etc.). Question: If we could do enough good works, why would we need God?
I believe that as the Bible says our righteousness is filthy as rags. We are in need of a Savior and can only be saved by faith through Jesus Christ.

Yeah, we see how much good religion has done the world. The Middle East is so messed up the only way to solve it is just to nuke everyone and start fresh. The US (the most religious nation in the Western World) is falling apart at an alarming rate.
Europe, on the other hand, with a practicing religious percentage of about 3%, is the most prosperous, wealthy, and well-educated place on earth.
You don’t need religion to be moral. I may even go as far as to say it’s easier to be moral if you’re not.
Answer by macieit is do unto others as you would have them do to you.Answer by Actaeon
“Do unto others as you would have done unto you”
Want to have friends, be friendly.
Want to have love, be loving.
Want forgiveness, then forgive.
Want to be wealthy, share what you have.
But most important is love, for yourself and all
others equally.
murder an orphan and die?
just an orphans prayer!
but perhaps God works through my mistakes becauase originally i typed:
murder and orphan and die?
which i kinda like because it should keep the peace, shouldn’t it?
so i certainly hope that was God who made me make that mistake because i intend to write like in the first line which i corrected, (ie maurder an orphan and die?) but because i saw the television shows that showed people murdering people and also their children (ie in war) i kinda got to beleive God must not be in control because if the bible is his word then its broken all the time.
But it does seem to be OBEY, as the major combined message.
But i for one hope not, because those Germans under the control of the BOSSES did horrible things.Answer by Senator John Puddles
“Love one another”.
It generally follows the format of the Golden Rule: Do unto other as you would have them do unto you.
But, ultimately, I think love is the underlying theme.
