germanfortraveler: How do you say “Love” or “With love” as in closing a letter in Norwegian?
I’m looking for an answer as something a Norwegian would close a letter with, as in
Dear (person)
(body of letter)
-Love,
(Sender of letter)
But with the word instead of “Love”. Thanks

med kjærlig hilsen
or just
klem (hugs)
Answer by Cheesesof Nazerathhere isn’t really an equivalent
Hilsen is the usual sign off, meaning greetings. Used on it’s own it’s quite casual and implies a friendship
Formally it’s med vennlig hilsen abbreviated to mvh which is the equivalent of yours sincerely
Kjærlig hilsen is the equivalent of “love from” and is quite informal and kind of lines up with the opening Kjære – Dear. generally it’s used for close friends and those significant others.
