booyahbd: What are the laws for under chassis vehicle lighting in Minnesota?
I’ve had a ton of mixed answers, but no laws have been cited. What color(s) are illegal, can they be active while driving, etc.
I also heard that it is illegal to have them attached to your vehicle, even if they aren’t turned on. Is this true? If your answer includes the words “in most states” or “I’ve heard” don’t bother responding.
@UCANTCME I saw that in another answer but it wasn’t cited, can anyone show me the law that says that in writing?

I found this concerning under glow lights answered by the MN State Patrol………
They are not legal in Minnesota. They can be sold legally, but they have limited uses, like for people who have the vehicle on display somewhere, like at a car show, but the lights can’t be attached to the vehicle while it is driven on a street or highway, even if they are not “on”, etc. Sorry, and thanks for asking.

If they’re not DOT approved, they’re not legal for use on public streets or highways. End of story.
