saisha: What laws has British Petroleum broken specifically regarding the Gulf of Mexico oil spill?
Are there any laws against the LOST or the IMO or any other organization the B.P broke?
Something that might give the U.S.A proof and evidence that it was fully B.P’s fault?
Or any results that were found during Eric Holders criminal investigation?

It was BP’s well and they were in total control, everyone else was sub-contractors with their particular specialty.
They can spinn it till the cows come home, and it’s still their fault..
They chose to skip vital actions that compromised safety at the sake of saving cost/penalty’s.
Failure to run schlumberger’s “Cement Bond Log”..Failure correct a Bad cement job(an occurence that’s not uncommon and fixable by squeezing additional cement in places shown to be void).
They replaced weighted mud with light seawater , which if the cement didn’t hold, gas would surely migrate to the surface.
They ran a casing to the surface, instead of the safer “Tie-back” type set-up.

Answer by FlowerBP low balled the amount of oil that was being released into the Gulf. The responsibility that the government had was in lax regulation over the drilling and the agency that issued the permits. They allowed BP to do the paperwork.
