What are the benefits of buying an iphone from an Apple store?

as opposed to buying one from a regular electronics store.

The prices are the same, i am buying one without a contract. Do the apple stores give any extras that the regular stores might not, like extra warranties or free stuff?
Also, is that student discount thing that is available for apple computer products applicable to the iphone?

The reason to buy an iPhone at an Apple Store is that they offer support for the device. Their devices have tons of apps and that’s what they specialize in. They know their product. Also, there are a ton of accessories and in my experience, they tend to be cheaper there than other places.

You can get Applecare, doesn’t cover water or physical damage, but it does cover everything else. For example, you drop your phone, no damage, but screen goes out or wifi fails, stuff like that. I’ve seen tons of broken screens, but far more of everything else. Plus, if you drop any phone and the screen breaks you’re screwed anyways.

Plus, if people know you at an Apple Store, you are more likely to get extra help, get preferential treatment. Employees will go out of their way to help you if you’re cool, nice and a frequent visitor.

No discounts don’t apply toward the iPhone.

Its the same at any store you buy the iphone at. You get 1 year product warranty automatic, applecare is only if you want 2 years under warranty so its just an extension works for those who have 2 year plans with a cell phone provider by then you want the new one! Is it worth the money it can be if you need a battery replacement for some reason after a year because with apple its $ 99.99. I think the Applecare is $ 69.99 and they will do battery placement under that plan. Ya, you can get it at ATT now too.

In the world of Cellphones/Media there aren’t that many student discounts there are only consumer discounts bundling, etc.
