Callista’s Mommy: What are some tips when buying maternity dress?
I’m still about 4 weeks pregnant, but I’d like to know what are the things that I should look or avoid when buying maternity dress.
What are the dos and don’ts?
Thanks a lot in advance!

just buy dresses extra long because your belly will raise it up
Most Maternity shops have a strap on baby bump to get an idea of how big you will be. I found that extremely helpful. You can even go now and maybe get the end of season stuff now for later this year and save lots of money. There are plenty of pretty dresses to choose from and we no longer have to wear moomoo’s they can be slinky to show off our pregnant bellies. I did an in-between as I am not a supermodel, lol.Answer by Melly
Do buy dresses that are adjustable.
Don’t buy them too early otherwise they won’t fit later.
Don’t buy dresses you can’t wear later.
You don’t have to go to the “boutique” maternity shops….ebay is great.
Do buy dresses you can mix and match with other clothes.
Go for classic looks and not “fashionable” looks
TRY ON THE CLOTHES FIRST….
Good luck
Answer by Shar ~Twin Boys Due 8/11Just buy your normal size in the maternity clothes. I wore XL So I would have bought XL in the maternity clothes, I got XXL because I know I will be bigger because I have twins. Check the length on the dresses too. I ended up having to wear legging shorts under my dresses because as my belly gets bigger the dresses get shorter.
