Moose: What are some medium size dog breeds that are known to be easy to train?
I know dogs differ from dog to dog but are there any breeds to have been known to be easy to train?

Like you said, it does differ from dog to dog. I’ve met smart chihuahuas and unintelligent labs, so it really depends.

mixed breeds are typically smarter, this is because there is a much much lower chance of inbreeding that you get with purebreds. Which makes the mutts easier to train.Answer by Anna

That depends on what you are training them to do and how good a trainer YOU are.
Other things to consider are shedding/grooming, energy level, is this your first dog?

i am not a dog lover, but I have noticed one thing: Jack Russel Terriers are NOT mentioned. ( brilliant dogs but stubborn and very high energy)

Mutts are very intelligent as u have the best of many breeds and virtually NO inbreeding. Yay !
