♥Summer Love♥: What are some beatiful holiday destinations near the gold coast?
My family and I live in the Gold Coast, my mom’s wedding anniversary is coming up and I’m planning their holiday.
What are some beautiful (and if possible not too expensive) holiday destinations around 1-2 hours away from GC?
Also, what are some nice hotelsresorts?

A really nice spot is 1.25 hours south west in Springbrook/Lamington National park. My friend had his honeymoon there. There are reasonably priced cabins, very romantic with great views and comfortable surroundings, private spa etc..
Another place would be 2 hours north to Noosa, Coolum or surroundings. There are allot of hotels to choose from and things to do for older couples. The beaches there are lovely too.
You can go south to Byron Bay. There is allot of accommodation to choose from and things to do.

There are some lovely places at mount Tamborine and if she likes walking there are some great walks there are also wineries a german cuckoo clock shop and many places to visit. You could look at www.wotif.com.au for some deals. or Couran point on South Stradbroke is a great place for a night or two. It’s cheaper than Couran Cove and they often have a deal . There is plenty of places on The Sunshine coast or South from tweed to Byron bay. https://www.couranpoint.com.au/

Seriously ANYWHERE in the springbrook/lamington national parks area.
If you want PERSONAL recommendations though, I can vouch for these three.
– my mother stayed here a couple of years ago. She gives it top marks for comfort, her Scottish partner gave it top marks for price!
this is one I personally like- I usually eat in their restaurant when we’re on the mountain and the rooms are stunning (not badly priced either!) I can’t vouch for their overnight service as we had to cancel our booking due to an emergency.

If their a bit self conscious the mirror over the bed can be a bit offputting- it’s HUGE!
Here’s another my mother has stayed at- be warned it is RIGHT on the crest of the mountain and even in Summer gets a bit chilly!
