Alana: What apartment complex in east lansing michigan will accept pit bulls?
Im moving to Michigan in august I have 2 dogs a Siberian husky and a pit bull mix.. I need an apartment complex that will accept a pit bull breed.

Few would take 3 large dogs, but none can afford to accept a dangerous animal, the property insurance does not allow it. While they can obtain some that does it is an additional $ 1,000 per year per animal. The liability and the upset neighbors are just not worth it.
Frankly, your chances of finding such are close to zero. Why ? Because insurers for apartment owners simply REFUSE to provide coverage unless the landlords certify that breeds such as pitbulls, Rottweilers and similar breeds which are considered dangerous are prohibited from the premises.
Personally, I own and manage close to 200 units, and my insurer has demanded same of me, in order to provide continued coverage. I can only wish you luck in your search, but don’t expect to find an agreeable complex.

The only commercial apt’s/townhomes/Condo’s that allow pits are normally in the Ghetto area.
but If u find a House/Townhome from an Individual- it can be possible.
Now let me make this Clear- I do NOT support APBT’s living in APTs- they do not get the Daily Exercise needed.
U can go to Craigslist and find ur state & town, then type in ” Dog Friendly “, I don’t know how much you can afford- so I can’t help too much. Just call all of those places & ask them. Don’t try to lie & say it is another breed, just be honest. If ur dog is trained & fixed- this will show u are responsible & will help.
