: Do some societies, or religions treat their women more as equal as human beings than others?
If so, does Buddhism, Hinduism, and other religions that teach spirituality rather than daily life tend to look at people from an individual level than others like Christianity, and Islam? Or does it depend on one’s interpretation of religion?

Christian religions highly respect women
women were treated completely equal in many pre-christian european pagan societies. IN fact women even were equally respected in warriors. Some of the societies, such as the pictish, were even matriarchal.
Of course the Romans were horrified by this…they probably originated in the middle east…(Troy, according to their own legends) which hasnt seemed to change much on this subject for the last 5,000 years or so.
HIndu and Buddhist religion is somewhat better than christianity and islam for woman equality…but hardly equal.
