miracle: Should i go to Aberdeen and finish my studies there?
So, i am a student of English philology (that is English Language and Literature) in Latvia. I am in the second year and to get a degree i have 2 more years to go. In the moment of despair i applied to the University of Aberdeen – English and Language and Linguistics, they have agreed to acknowledge my credit points and now i have an unconditional offer. However, to finish it will take me 3 years to finish this course there, cos they have accepted me onto the year 2. So, the question is, do you think it is worth it for me to lose this one year and after all, i don’t know how i am going to survive there cos i am not rich at all? If i was sure that this course would take me somewhere i would definitely go, but recently i just see that this is kind of pointless since nobody needs just a linguist and i don’t want to be a teacher…..so what do you think? Should i go for it or should i just stay here and finish this course here?

Studying in foreign country is always enriching, however only you can assign the true cost of doing so. You will be distracted with new sights, new people, new behaviors and many can and do get intoxicate with the charms of a place and lose sight of why they are there.
Many people never finish their studies and many are forced to leave the foreign country and return to their homes deeply in debt.
May I suggest that you take a holiday to Aberdeen and see what you are getting into before you make your decision.
