Say a people’s culture and religion demands that they have large families. This means there is rampant population growth within this culture. But overpopulation is a global problem that is affecting everyone on the planet. People with a culture of having large families are the leading cause of overpopulation that is harming our planet and jeopardizing the future of humanity. Should their culture and religion be respected if they are putting the lives of everyone else at risk?

NO! I do not respect religions that preach to “populate the earth” when it’s already overpopulated. They are adding to the problem by using our natural resources at a much faster rate.

That depends. One reason our earth can support so much life is because of technology and specialization. More people would help increase these two factors and thus create more room. Then again I bet if anyone were to pick apart your life styles they would find countless waste that you, me, and almost every other modern human causes.

It’s the liberals that have the “equal” mentality. To them all cultures, all societies, all religions, all countries are “equal” and should be respected “equally.” Also, there’s no such thing as over population. Any society is built upon a given set of laws. When deciding which culture or set of laws are right, to which standard do you turn? If it is man’s opinion, one is as good as another. This is why God recorded the way in which He created all relationships to be and has given us the regulation of those relationships. That is the standard which agrees with absolute reality or creation. Together, the evidence, creation and the word, give us the answers.
