Can you get the top score in a maths test by winging it?
Can you get an A* in a G.C.S.E maths exam or another maths exam that’s equivalent by not having a good or deep understanding of maths, but still get by, by remembering the formulas for the questions?
I meant getting a top score if you know how to use the formulas, without having deep understanding of them, but still being able to use them, anyway.

well if you remember the formulas for equations you’re hardly “winging it”.
but application is VERY important so NO, you can’t get a top maths score without being able to solve a question. Formulas don’t mean anything if you can’t use them!
ummm if you know how to use them, your bound to get the q’s right. BUT coming to the back pages you need to know how to manipulate them; so you won’t get TOP marks if you can’t do that.
Having said that, it depends on the grade brackets.
Just make sure you know them, you got plenty of time.
