Mr. pro: Runescape – How to kill an Ice Barrage spammer?
My friend thinks he is a bad ass killer because he is a mage and just spams that freeze spell. (looks like a block of ice on character) I am melee and range. The only way i can kill him is if his spell fails (usually never) and I get him with the SS special. THERE MUST BE ANOTHER WAY?!

Yes. Since you are a ranger you can rely on that, using karils armor and your ranged should show more effect than taking him on with armor weak against magic. Good Luck!Answer by Zero Shadow
Wear ranged equipment since they had higher magic defense (I suggest full Karils armor). Use your best bow/crossbow and arrows/bolts (if bolts, enchanted diamond or ruby bolts would be good to use, otherwise go with the best bolts that you can afford). At some point you should also try to come in close for a melee weapon special. SS has a magic based spec, so I would suggest against it if he’s in mage armor. You could try a dds or even better, d claws.
But of course the level differences between you and him will have a considerable effect on how well you fight against him. He has really high magic, and you would also need decent range, magic, and defense levels.
