TROLL: Religion and science are in direct opposition to one another. How do some people not understand that?
Religion pre-decides what nature is without much evidence or understanding of what nature is. Whereas science lets the experiments and the equations decide what nature is.
She’s gonna come out as she is, and science is there to observe her as she is.
But not religion. It pre-decides what she is. And it’s been demonstrated before that religion has been wrong; and it’ll be wrong again.
And science is a continuous process. Science is always trying to understand her as she is. But not religion. Religion is stuck on seeing things in only religion’s way. And religion never likes to be corrected.
Science and religion are incompatable.

i disagree with almost everything you wrote
for one thing “religion” is too broad of a topic to compare it to anything
Science understands religion and how it has contributed to the development of the human species as it is seen today, even on a biological level.
Science stands as no opposition to any institution – it complements them.Answer by I Whip My Hair!
Science is certain of nothing and requires evidence of everything.
Faith is certain of everything and requires evidence of nothing.
Yup, i’d call that pretty polar opposite.

What exactly are you trolling on about?
Answer by GodsGeneralGod place the stars in the heavens for signs and measurements of seasons. Now. It will take science to harness this idea of the calender year to benefit all of man kind. Where is the opposition. More like proposition.Answer by You are now breathing manually
I don’t know about regular religion, but it sure as hell isn’t compatible with fundamentalist religion.
Fundamentalist religion died with evolution. The only reason why they don’t accept evolution is because they would rather lie to themselves because evolution is too hard for them to understand (even though it’s probably the most simple scientific theory ever). As usual, science has put fundamentalist religion in it’s place.
Although I don’t really care about regular religion, eventually (as in after the next 100 years or so) science will get rid of that too. Physicists are well on their way to completing a quantum theory of the big bang (since the classical theory of the big bang only says that the universe used to be smaller). The quantum big bang theory explains the cause of the big bang, where the big bang singularity came from and those crucial first few milliseconds of the big bang that can’t be explained with general relativity equations alone.
Answer by IwalkeverywhereYou are correct but many churches say otherwise and the sheep just parrot what they hear.Answer by L.a.y.l.a.h
No it is not. You are only referring to specific subsets of religion. The definition of religion is very similar to that of philosophy. Not all religions have a creation story like Christianity or claim to have absolute truth. A lot of them are just life philosophies. Gawd the ignorance here is astounding. Ever see a taoist of thelemite protesting science? I don’t think so.Answer by Some Guy
The reason why I kind of agree is because religions make scientific claims, such as how the earth was formed, the origin of life, age of the universe etc. However, most religious people are smart enough to accept the scientific method, but to not take their holy book literally, rather just metaphorically than fact.Answer by Munther Saleh
i disagree man, Islam is full of science, the was all written in the Qur’an around 1500 years before any man ever state the idea of it:
*the roundness of the earth and how its “egg-shaped” (exact words)
(people assumed it was common sense that the earth was a flat square)
*the orbits of the planets
(people assumed the earth was all there is and the moon and sun where just decorations)
*names some individual elements
(back when people beveled in alchemy, the Qur’an names elements, mostly metals)
*the prosses of birth and how the baby is shaped like during it
(people just thought the baby was inflated with blood like a balloon)
*the mighty power hidden in the stars durring there “falling”, this can be understood as supernova or shooting stars, both are huge forces, read the following, and u will see the exact words
Chapter 56, Verse 75-79:
i swear by the fallings of the stars (75)
and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew (76)
it is indeed a glorious Qur’an, (77)
in a book protected (from tampering) (78)
which none shall touch except the purified; (79)
a sending down from the lord of all the worlds. (80)
what, do you hold this discourse in disdain, (81)
do you make it your provision to belie it? (82)
why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying (83)
and you are watching at that time (84)
parts 83+84 are very dear to me, i saw my grandfather dieing in front of me from cancer and the sound of quran being read to him and drops of holy water helped his soul exit softer and easier without any jerking or random movements, but he did send out a loud strong Scream in the last seconds symbolizing the exiting of his soul from the mouth passing the throat on the way out of his body, never gonna forget that moment 😉
Where did the energy come from that created matter?
