Think harder…now slower: How did Judaism and Zoroastrianism differ from the religions of Mesopotamia and Egypt?
So to be honest, when reading the chapter, I pretty much thought that Judaism and Zoroastrianism was basically the religions practiced in Egypt. So apparently there is something I am not understanding, could anyone help me?

Egyptians had many gods. Judaism has one.
Zoroastrianism was founded in Persia and they controlled the Egyptians and followed the Jewish religion years after but this religion was practiced mainly in Persia. Judaism is from the Jewish people of course and they practiced in Israel but I believe they also settled in Egypt.
Zoroastrians believe that the elements are pure and that fire represents God’s light or wisdom.
Jews believe that there is a single God who not only created the universe, but with whom every Jew can have an individual and personal relationship.Answer by Darren S
I think what you are trying to get at is that Judaism and to some extent, Zoroastrianism with its dualistic qualities of a single god, can be viewed as the first monotheistic religions – believing in one god or supernatural being. Countries like Egypt were polytheistic and worshipped many gods.
