A friend and I were arguing about breast implants and whether or not they are as widely popular as women and the media seem to think.

Let us establish that women get implants “to improve their self-image”, which means to bring their body closer to “ideal.” But who decided that was the ideal? Do men REALLY prefer them, or has the media just CONVINCED us that men prefer them?

Breast implants have a different look and feel than an all-natural breast; even those meant to look natural are fuller and higher on the chest than a natural breast. So, men, all other things being equal, would you rather have a woman with implants or one without?

Does it make a difference if they are gravity-defying porn star implants or passable as natural?
I think it’s funny that people have said this will spawn quite the argument – but most, if not all, of the responses thus far have expressed a preference for natural breasts. 🙂

Also, I appreciate the consolation but I am happily married to a man that loves my breasts – this was simply out of curiosity! ;D

I think they’re totally stupid. I don’t think I’d even want to date a girl who had them just because I would think she was shallow. I’d rather have a girl with brains than t!ts.

I hate fake breasts unless they are on a stripper…at which point I tip fake breasts……real, even if smaller, is the way to go…..

My boyfriend hates it when we see girls that have fake looking boobs. He says that if you want to be bigger that is up to you, but it only looks good if it looks natural, and 9 times out of 10, it doesn’t.

I think that alot of woman get implants to impress guys first, that way it builds up there confidence, in reality men prefer the real mccoy. but some woman who didnt mature in that department may want them so they can feel more attractive for themselves and there partners.

im an all natural guy. i dont like my tits so big that they are bigger than the girls head. breast implants like you said are only for image and the media has made breasts way more important than they are. in other countries women walk around with their boobs hangn out and nobody thinks anything of it. its pretty much the media controlling what people think

I’m going to be honest with you.. Men dont care fake or not as long as they as they can grasp a whole handful in their hands when their squezzing them… Now if a womens breast is small and that cant happen then I would suggest getting implants but they dont have to be super sized just enough to get a good squeeze in…

Be happy with what you have. Any guy that is interested in you, will love you no matter how large or small your boobs are…. it’s your inner qualities that matter. And if a guy does prefer it…isn’t that a bit shallow?

Breast implants, and plastic surgery in general, are media driven(thus money is exchanging hands somewhere), and are completely riduclous, and irresponsible procedures. Ok, if self esteem is dependent upon these things, and a person is truly ‘awkward’ because of their appearance, then I wont argue the benefit of these things. However, if you feel yourself being ‘sucked in’ to this latest craze, then you might want to re-evaluate just how you view your society.

I’d much rather have a woman without implants even if that means they’re a little smaller. I dislike rock hard boobs that make a slish-slosh noise when they move.

I personally prefer natural breasts, but that is not to say that I dislike implants. They are two completely different looks and feels just like you said, and it is entirely possible that many men enjoy both equally but for different reasons. However, I would like to add that although a womans “physical” characteristics are important, they are not nearly so important as the woman herself. That is to say I would VERY MUCH rather date a fun, cute, energetic sweetheart that adores being with me, who has maybe a “more subtle” beauty and sexuality, than some egocentric, big haired, giant breasted, attention junkie in high heels that has a hive of idiots buzzing around her constantly. In short………it isnt all about the breasts my dear. Do not underestimate the endearing quality of modesty when gauging your own beauty.

I think they are helpful when someone looks out of proportion. Bringing them to a normal size can work. But don’t overdo it!

I am a female with medium sized boobs and wouldn’t have it any other way. Who in their right mind would want two saline bags hanging on their chest all the time. If I was a man I would just buy a saline bag and be done with it. I have seen some sexy girls with natural breasts that were proportioned to their body size.
