if your dogs are dangerous to other animals you really don,t want to jeopardize another animals well being
put the hamster ina cage and put the cage where the dogs cant get to itAnswer by Indigo
If you want something like a hamster, then get one. You can’t let it run around by itself, so just don’t let the dogs have contact and you’ll be fine. If need be, keep the dogs out of the room when the hamster (or whatever you get) is out of the cage, and keep the cage out of reach.Answer by Karatekid
you could get a gerbil which is quicker than most hamsters or mice. they will be harder to catch, and are better pets anyway. unlike hamsters they arent nocturnal so you can be with them besides at nite. they also bite less. mice arent very interesting in my opinion.
or you could get a ferretr which is A LOT of funn to play with. also most dogs will play with them too. (on youtube even a lion is playing with them)
*ferrets do not smell or bite like many people think.*
***no pet should be left alone with your dogs unless it is another dog or a cat. even if you think a mouse or small animal gets along with your dogs, DONT leave them alone.
alsooo i dont see why you cant just keep the dogs away from the pet hamster or mouse when you take them out.******
good luck!

My family has a dog and a hamster. The trick is to keep the hamster in one room, and if you want to take it to any other room in the house, put it in its exercise ball and keep your dog(s) out of that room while the hamster is in there.
