moopmoop: What are your opinions on UK Crime TV Documentaries?
For my Media A Level, I’ve chosen to research crime & the media.
I need to gain people’s opinions.
For my question, I have chosen;
With the increase of real life UK crime documentaries, for example, Street Wars & Traffic Cops, are such programs glorifying crime to provide entertainment for public viewing, or are they making the public aware of ongoing crime in the UK?
Any comments are welcome 🙂
Thanks.

Could not give one damn either way on that one, partner.
I think they’re glorifying crime, because watching documentaries like that doesn’t really make it seem real, its just entertainment to most people.Answer by smcmiss
i really dont know why people answer questions if there gonna be rude about it, bit sad really lol, but anyway.
its a good question, in a way they are glorifying crime ive seen plenty of people laughin at the situations on those programmes, also ive had family members recorded and viewed on air in those programmes too!
Sometimes its not your fault wher your brought up and teenagers have a hard time trying to cope with life in certain situations, they are gloryfying people’s misfortunes in a way.
i mean who are they tryin to make aware of when they air these shows? are they teaching the police force how to behave and not to behave on tv, ie, no beatings in public officers, or letting other criminals know how not to mess up when your being caught on camera.
its just ther is sod all else to put on tv so that will do for the public really they cant be bothered to make any effort.
