Matt K: What are the benefits of submitting film to Sundance Film Festival?
Hi!
I’m curious as to what can become of a decent film being submitted to the Sundance? Say it comes close to winning an award, what kind of potential things can happen to benefit the film after the festival?

The biggest reason people go to Sundance is for exposure- its a surefire way to get your film seen by thousands of industry people and distributors, and many distributors/ studios send scouts to the festival to look for new, edgy films to release.
