First of all, nobody called him “african”.. Probably what you are referring to is “African American”…
Second of all, his dad is not even 1% arabic… Probably what you are referring to is “Muslim”, which is not a race whatsoever…
With his dad being african [not african american], and regardless of the race of his mom, he is automatically called african american [first generation if you want to be precise]…
