First question…what do you need money so bad for? Second question, have you talked to your parents about it & what did they say?
Personally I give my kids allowance, but it is directly tied to their chores. If they do their chores, they get paid on payday. It’s just like a real job: the duties they are expected to perform are documented on the refrigerator, & once completed they get paid for them.
If your parents have never discussed allowance with you, you can certainly bring it up to them, but outright asking for it will more than likely get you a big fat NO. Instead, think about the amount of money you want, & make a list of chores/tasks you are willing to do in exchange for it. A ballpark estimate of what is appropriate is $ 1 for every year of your age per week, so in your case you’re looking at $ 13 a week. It may not seem like much, but it’s a lot more than what you’re getting now, sounds like. Put your list together & present it to your parents & make sure you talk like you got some sense so they’ll take you seriously. Of course, one of the 1st things to remember about negotiating is to always ask for more than you’re willing to settle for, so I’d say go ahead & ask for $ 15-$ 20 a week & see what happens.
Keep in mind though, that even if your parents agree it would be reasonable for you to get an allowance, it may not be possible for them financially to make it happen, so don’t take it personally if that’s the case. If they’re stressed out, you helping out with some extra stuff around the house might relieve some of that stress & make it possible for you to start getting an allowance in the very near future.
Long story short…everyone’s gotta work for their money. Good luck!
Answer by u812painethat..seeing as how your atleast 13 you can get paid to fill out surveys or paid to click or paid to read..if your interested in more then check out my blog below Thanks, BranAnswer by Princess
there’s a site i use which has already paid me over $ 50 in 3 months. it pays you to do offers such as signing up with specific sites, some of which are survey sites so you can make a bit more money that way. it also pays you to do things such as shop at specific websites and pays you a percentage of the money you spend, typically between 1-10%.
to get paid, you need a paypal account and you get paid every month, as long as you’ve made $ 50 or more. for some of the offers, you’ll need a credit card to sign up for a free trial, but for all of them, you can cancel that at anytime. if you cancel before the free trial is over, you don’t lose any money. =P
you can also refer people to join and for every person that does, you get 20% of what they earn. (ie. if they earn $ 10, you get an extra $ 2 credited to your account) so, the more people you refer, the more money you make.
here’s my referal link (please use it, so i can make some money too =P):
good luck and have fun with it.
