Gregory: What are people buying online and what type of people are buying online?
I ask this question because I am doing research on what people are willing to buy online. I’m not interested in any affiliate links so please don’t even bother. I am interested in also knowing what type of people shop online. Who is doing the buying and what are they buying? Thanks.

I buy things like books, CDs, *some* clothing items (mostly accessories and t-shirts for family and friends), small electronics, *some* cosmetics (brands I know and trust and colors I’ve used before) and some interesting/unique/handmade jewelry items. If it helps with your demographics, I’m a 40-ish female who lives in a large, urban area. It’s simply more convenient for me to grab things online that I don’t have to personally examine as I don’t have to drive or ride the transit everywhere, all over to get things I want. I also do not have to dodge the guy who hangs out in the mall who thinks he’s Jesus, so that’s another bonus to online shopping right there. Oh, if I “dump” something online and change my mind about it, it’s usually because of the shipping costs, so I look for free shipping or other “deals”. Big factor right there.

I sometimes buy books online – when i feel too lazy to go to the local mall’s bookshop.
