Will a laptop purchased in the US work properly in Austrla with a power adapter?

angleface: Will a typical laptop purchased in the USA still work properly in Austrlaia with a power adapter?
My husband and are moving to Australia from the USA, we want to bring a laptop with us. Any suggestions for the best laptop and power adapter to make the laptop work in Australia?

Yes, generally, anything with a transformer will work abroad.

Check the charger, It should have 100-240V 50-60Hz printed on it. It’ll work just about anywhere in the world. It’s pretty rare to find one without that capability.

Laptops are universal, and will work anywhere, just will have to pick up an adaptor for your mains plug to insert into there wall outlet.
