I didn’t know that people thought of Italians like that. I’ve heard people describe Americans as being loud and argumentative. Don’t worry about what other people think of you.Answer by Amare
Salve. It’s a sterotype. Not all italians do that. Some are very nice. It’s only a sterotype. Don’t worry. God views everyone equal.Answer by Inxs

It is a stereotype, however it does tend to be common kinda like talking with our hands. I’m Italian American and argue so well I was told to be a lawyer.LOL! I think its passion and emotion along with firm will and strong opinionsAnswer by Lou
My wife is Italian and it’s true they do yell alot and love to argue but so do my family it’s just a cultural thing. They never know they are yelling they just do.
Also the Arabs, Greeks and many other cultures are the same loud talkers and love to argue.Answer by jockey_goggles
Because they’re narrow minded and listen to stupid stereotypes and labelling rather than actually getting out into the world and meeting people and having their own experiences.
All the Italians I have met are NOT like that. In fact, my experience of Italian people, they are the most friendly and welcoming people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Answer by xxvalentinexxItalians that I know (alot of my family was born in Italy) seem rather happy and in a way, peaceful. Not hot-tempered like Germans.(again family) I guess it’s the media that makes Italians into gangsters or loud people. and since America is such a mixed race of people now, no one really knows anyone that’s pure anything so we assume.Answer by *Gisele*
oh, ignore the people that say it!!
I’m Italian, and I can make you sure that it’s not true…VIVA L’ITALIA!Answer by Mari76
People just find it easier to believe in stereotypes instead of trying to ge to know people. I live in Italy and all of my boyfriends have been Italian, and guess what? They are some of the easiest-going guys I’ve ever met. Sure, I’ve met some hot-headed Italians, but I’ve also met some hot-headed Irish, Germans, Austrians, Americans, etc etc.
