There is a HUGE variety of restaurants in HK, so if you can be more specific about type of food and budget I can tell you more.
What do you mean by MOtel? or cheap hotel? HK people consider a Motel to be a kind of hourly love hotel.Theses can vary from the very skeezy to just cheap and reasonable, maybe as little as $ 200 per night. But some very low budget people do stay in them. I think you can get a “real ” hotel for around HK$ 500 per night. Forexapmle YMCA. Its a real hotel here. Maybe you can be more specific about your budget and location desired then I can help more.

There’re plenty of cheap restaurants in Wan Chai, eg Chinese fast food chain ie Sun Chiu Kee, Noodle shops etc with most food under HK$ 30. Hotels are now on sale, you can probably find a pretty good one under HK$ 400 a night.

You can find some motels in Causeway and Tsimshatsui districts. They’re usually hidden in large residential/commercial buildings. Chung King Mansion in Tsimshatsui is a popular spot and a room probably costs around HK$ 200 per night, but Chung King is mostly resided by illegal immigrants from Asia and Africa. Camberley Mansion in Tsimshatsui is another popular spot with lots of motels.

and cheap dim sum in Wanchai…. Wing Wah Chinese Restaurant since 1950. they dun hv a website as they r 2 old-fashioned. but here’s a website in chinese which u can hv a peek of their outlook.

they opened 7am onwards…. v traditional dim sum & super cheap. the landmark that nearby = the Emperor Centre, 288 Hennessy Road, Wanchai. the restaurant is just rite opp. to Emperor.
