Mumyoo: Is there any way to prevent a too young kitten from turning into a crazy cat?
I live in China. People here eat cats or sell them as ratters. So the mental health of the kittens isn’t really considered. However, most of my research says wait until the kitten is 8-12 weeks old. I have never seen a kitten that old for sale in China, but I still want to try and raise one. Any tips for trying to raise a well-balanced cat that was taken from its mother too young?

You need to teach it how to be a cat, in other words teach it how to clean itself by putting butter on its paws and letting it lick it off.

But pay attention to the little one, touch it often, give it toys to play with: string, little mice and just be there for it and it should be fine. If you’re still not sure there should be some good pet books on Amazon.com and speak to a good vet 😉
Oh and if you get it very young you will have to feed it often, get up in the middle of the night just like a baby, but consult a vet on that 😉

But also just have fun and love the little kitten, and it will love you back thats the surest way to raise it correctly 😉
