Warmbloods are great. They will give you 100%. They are steady, strong, and think on their feet.
I’m a Thoroughbred woman, though. Thoroughbreds can have incredible bone, and be resistant to breaking down. They also have this incredible fire and willingness to give far more than 100%
I’m 5’4″ and had a wonderful 17h TB. Friends wondered where I found my 17h Quarterhorse. Kirk would jump the moon if I asked him to. I showed him @ 3’6″ and foxhunted him.
I would get a Thoroughbred.
Look at both breeds. Either would be suited for your needs. Ride the individual horses you are interested in and make the decision based on the individual horses’ abilities and attitudes, dont’ focus on the breed so much.Answer by Jenny S
Thoroughbreds can be high-strung.
Warmbloods can be stubborn, but they are good for jumping and hunter, as thoroughbreds are more sprints.
No matter what you can find a horse for you in either breed. I personally have a warmblood, and i love him…
look around and make sure you make a connection with the horse. I hope you have a great search!
