Miranda Priestly: Is there a difference in your opinion between having sex & “making love”?
Call me old-fashioned but I prefer to make love. Maybe I am just a prude? A lot of people are like “it’s just sex”. I don’t feel that way. maybe it’s b/c I was raped as a teen.
Due to the # of teens in Singles & Dating I posted the question here hoping for more mature answers LOL. Thanks.

sex is for the man
making love is for the woman!!!
I do believe there is a great difference between the two.
I prefer making love with a partner that I am committed to. There is a shared loving energy, a spirit filled connection that you get when you make love with someone, and it is so strongly passionate that you can’t help feeling loved. That is making love to me.
I think that having sex is random people people hooking up, where there is no love involved.
Answer by cherring4YES and maybe I am old fashioned too. The difference is: having sex is just purely physical and for pleasure. Making love is for pleasure too but it is more enjoyable because you have love and trust in each other and it is more emotional especially when it ends in cuddling after the intercourse.Answer by justapiece44
I believe so. If you love someone its called making love. If you engage in sex just to be having sex.. then its called having sex. Yes I think there is a difference. Making love involves uniting with the person mentally, physically, emotionally and with love. I was also sexually exploited as a very small child and it took me years to know the difference. But there is a difference, trust me.Answer by Midnite Spank
Personally, think there is a difference, and I like both. And I do both, with the same person. It’s what YOU make of it, not anyone else – as long as you enjoy yourself, and you’re safe and comfortable, who cares what you call it!Answer by priv828
Yes but I have never been a fan of having sex with just anyone, just for the sake of it. I prefer having sex with the person i love. The term ‘making love’ sounds so sweet and boring to me, and sweet and boring is the last thing i want my sex life to be.Answer by future
After “making love” you usually have to buy a lot of furniture.Answer by Sophie
That people have decided there is a difference is the reason sex is so lax now a days. Sex should only be between two people that love each other. That’s what it is supposed to be, a bond…between two people that love each other. It shouldn’t be done otherwise.Answer by AcharyA
‘Making love’ is a euphemism for sex because people are too immature to accept that everyone in the world has penises and vaginas and are genetically programmed to seek it out. Why are we ashamed of it? It’s so illogical.Answer by barson

Sex is seeking physical pleasure. One doesn’t much care apart from the moment in hand.
Making love is a display of emotions. One cares for the person. Even if not physically satisfied it is still enjoyed because of the love felt.Answer by Quixotic
The difference between the two lies squarely in your own mind.Answer by Sam
There is a big difference, anyone can have sex but there has to be feelings to make love.Answer by ♥♥ღ♥ proud aussie MAZZY♥♥ღ♥
Sex is pretty much an energy release….a physical act of pleasure merely to satisfy your own needs.
Making love on the other hand, is a mutual feeling of connection between you and your partner, on not only a physical and mental level, but also on an emotional one.
Its more sensual, normally longer, more intimate, pure and so very special.
Quite simply, it is an act of love, where you give yourself to another on such a deep and true level…one of the most special feelings you can ever experience. ♥
