Jude the Obscure: Is the biggest crime against capitalism when they take our tax dollars and pay companies to open shop?
How is it beneficial to tax individuals, then take those taxes to pay a private company to move into your state from another state in the US. . . It should be illegal, as it’s a crime against the purpose of tax dollars. It’s not like the factory won’t exist. If Tariffs are used correctly, that factory will be open in the US somewhere, without taking money out of my pocket to pad corporations who have fixed an impossibly non-free capitalistic system.

It’s not even a crime against capitalism, it’s just purely not a capitalist mindset.
Tarriffs are price controls and inherently cannot be used correctly, in any way, to achieve any particular goal without breaking something else.
Any low profit margin manufacturing operation would just replace labor with automation anyway if it moved back to the US. Machines don’t take breaks, or vacations.
