mkim: Is it too late if I start taking dance lessons now?
I’m 14 and I just got into dancing and I want to take dance lessons. But everyone else I know started dancing when they were really little and I feel like it’s too late for me to take dance lessons…I need some advice.
And I never took any dance lessons so I will have to be in the beginners. I’m afraid that I will look like a fool because I’m already 14 and in beginners.

I’ve been taking dance for like 11 years now and its not too late. You can start anytime just as long as you practice. And dance is really fun, you should keep with it. =]
It’s never to late to start! I started dancing when I was in 7th grade. I’m in 10th grade now and have moved up levels really fast! It’s really amazing and once you get your body conditioned its amazing and just feels like your flying and no one is around and the music is just in you and….well thats all until you stop and die on the floor for air ha ha !Answer by Kaitlin R

Trust me it’s NEVER TOO LATE!!!
I’m 16 and have been doing proper Ballet for 2 years only and am in an intermediate class at a respected Ballet school. If you really want to persevere than you’ll work hard. At first dance seems like fun then it become harder but stick in there and you’ll see you’ll improve.
Some tips…do a lot of stretching flexibility is a must and you’ll find it easier to dance once you’ve built that then you can focus on your strength which is the most important.Well somewhat most important
Good luck and if you need anything else click on my face thing or whatever.
Answer by DEGNo its never too late!! I started dancing when I was 15 and I’m 18 now. I once asked my dance instructor this question: Does being a good dancer depend on how long you’ve been dancing or how much effort you put into it, or a combination of both?? And she said that it really depends on how much effort and dedication is put into learning it. For example, Sabra Johnson from So You Think You Can Dance season 3 (the only female winner so far) has been dancing for only 4 years!!! In my opinion, she is a lot better than some dancers that have been dancing for 10 years. And I think that since you are 14 and if you continue dancing, then by the time your 18 or 20, you could be a lot better than your friends, but ONLY if you really dedicate your time and persevere.
I think you can do it!!! Good luck!! =)Answer by pedro c
