Rick: Is it required that my fiancee need to attend CFO Seminar before she can travel outside Philippines ?
My fiancee already received her visa but our fiancee-package never said anything about a CFO seminar….We always thought this was only for over-seas workers…..Is this a requirement for her visa…………….need your help with this! Thanks in advance.

Your fiancee needs to attend the CFO seminar although this may not been mentioned in the fiancee-package otherwise, she will be held in the exit gate upon deporting in Manila.

I don’t know why the government doesn’t categorize the seminar correctly anyway, just tell your fiancee to attend the said seminar as this is one of the requirements.

She need to get the CFO seminar stapled into her passport, if she live near Manila or Cebu there are seminars many days a week.

Yes she will have to go but it is easy to pass so tell her not to worry. The main thing they stress is how bad you are & how bad it is where she is going. My Ex wife said it sounded like they was trying to talk her out of going to the USA.

What you need to know…

As Filipinos going abroad as fiancé(e)s, spouses or other partners of foreign nationals, you are required to attend the CFO’s guidance and counseling session in order to secure the Guidance and Counseling Certificate (GCC) and the CFO sticker. You need this certificate to renew or apply for a new passport at the Department of Foreign Affairs (per Department of Foreign Affairs Order Nos. 11-97 Implementing Rules and Regulations for Republic Act 8239, “Philippine Passport Act” and 28-94). You will also need to present this certificate together with your spouse/partner visa, at the Immigration office at the international airport on your day of departure.

Agree to other answers. It is required for your fiance and even if you’re married.
The Philippine Immigration Department at the Airport looks for the CFO certificate stamped at the passport with the green certificate they staple just anywhere in the passport so even if she have the VISA if she do not have this…she may have a problem passing the Philippine Immigration check at NAIA which can cancel or delay her flight.
