Jay Sean: Is it proper to evaluate a chain restaurant by how many stores it has?
Someone told me that each restaurant can be easily evaluated as $ 1 million. Like say a a restaurant chain has six stores. Can you automatically assume that the value of the chain is $ 6 million?

nope
the cost of a restaurant can vary considerably
McDonalds – 1 Million and up
Subway – 50k or so, the only cooking they do is bake bread once a day
Fox’s Pizza Den – 8k franchise, 300/month, plus your cost of site and equipment, maybe 100k
