IamsoSmrt: Why are restaurant maraschino cherries so much larger and better than the ones found in the store?
You know, if you order a soda at a restaurant and it comes with maraschino cherries, they’re big an plump and tasty; but the ones you buy in a jar at the store are small and withered and not so good. Why is that?

They get theirs fresh while as we get ours in cans and they have been sitting for a day or so
there are 2 sizes of maraschino cherries… the standard retail stuff, then the “large” or “jumbo” ones
they are MUCH bigger than the standard ones. you can find them in some stores, and all over online.
maraschino cherries are NEVER fresh… they are always canned/jarred
