Kids Like Brin: How do I cook restaurant-quality steak with a limited kitchen?
I have an oven and a stove, and one frying pan for my stove. Is it possible to cook a restaurant quality steak with this? What is your preferred recipe? If I need more resources, what other kitchen accessories would you suggest I acquire?

you need a resturant quality steak, and a good broiling pan!
I always do mine in a frying pan but to get a great taste you would want to marinade it. What you marinade it in is up to you, I always use a combination of soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, and garlic. I perfer mine meduim rare so I just pan sear it on high heat on both sides until I have nice marks then just finish it in the oven for 10 minutes at 400 F.Answer by Jane

Sure! – just use high heat and a lightly oiled pan to sear the outside, then stick in the oven broiler to finish. Don’t over cook, and season simply with salt and pepper. Finish with a small scoop of parsley butter on top of the hot steak when you serve it. For cuts: ribeye, t-bone or filet are my favorites. A quality cut of meat makes all the difference.Answer by The Avatar Formally Known As
It’s not about the utensils its about the cut of meat.
Scotch fillet is a lovely thick juicy cut of meat.
I don’t really suggest a t-bone steak.
You can add steak spices but I prefer a little bit of salt and pepper a dash of oil and then finishing it off with a mushroom sauce.
If you like it medium rare then cook the steak on high for about a minute each side and then about 4 or so minutes on medium on both sides after that.
But the lower you cook it and the longer you cook it, the more tender it is,
This is just a quick steak.
Obviously for medium well done then its quite a few minutes longer.
Good luck
