Michaels Riverside Restaurant is definitely the best, they have the most spectacular view of the brisbane river. Not only are they the best in Brisbane but best in Queensland, by their awards. I have been there and it is probably the last silver service restaurant left in Brisbane. Obviously it is exy but it is worth it. Try their website at
ANother great restaurant is Cha Cha Char steakhouse, best steak in Brisbane!
I believe that Jade Buda Is the best asian restaurant , with a view . It over looks the river at Eagle St.
However , if view is not Top priority then try Zenbar located on Post Office square.
Answer by DreamOxleys on the River is definitely one of the best and have won a plethora of awards. Last year they were a finalist in Queensland for best seafood and best tourism restaurant. They actually got the Queensland Gold Plate award people’s choice for Best restaurant in Brisbane. Also if you or your friend’s birthday is near, and you go on your actual birthday, (and have ID) the birthday boy/girl eats for free, so you only pay for one person’s meal. (This is on a set menu only). You also get serenaded by the staff.
I’d recommend the seafood platter, and I love the spring rolls entree. The riverside view is really lovely and it’s very quiet and serene inside. You are really lucky if you get a windowside seat as you can just relax and watch the various boats go past. There is no noise from the kitchen or Coronation drive, no interupptions and the staff are always very professional.
I hope you enjoy your meal (and that you win the bet!). May the best restaurant win!
Answer by Col BIf you like a good steak then you can’t go past “CHA CHA CHA” on the river near the Eagle Street Pier. It is expensive but the food is extremely good. They are smallish serves but you can get a 5 or 6 course meal. You have a great view over the river including the Storey Bridge and Kangaroo Point.
If you don’t mind a bit of a drive, there used to be a good seafood restaurant at Cleveand point called the “Lighthouse Restaurant’. The view overlooks the bay facing east to Peel and North Stradbroke Islands.
However, my favourite little restaurant is a little Italian restaurant on top of Mt Tambourine called “Brunelli’s”. I have been going there regularly for the past 4 or 5 years and the food is always very good and you get a nice view west from the mountain.Answer by polly
