iPod Touch Stuck in “recovery Mode” HELP?

i Have an iPod Touch the newest one. not the one with the camera tho. b4 that one. 32 gig.i brought it off a friend. ive had it for around a month now. at first i was having problems with putting the apps on but after that ive had no problems with it , untill last night, i plugged it into my laptop , i opened iTunes and it said i should update and download so i pressed ohk. i moved on. i went back to my itunes and it rejected my iPod and now i look at my iPod and it has the wire thinggy pointing up to the iTunes Logo . evrytime i plug it into my Computer it says “Found new hardware” and it pretty much just says it cant identify my ipod so now my ipod is stuck in this “recovery mode” and YES i have held the top button and the home button and reset my ipod but it goes right back to the same screen. ive watched a million youtube videos and tried everything they said. it juss goes back to the same lace. i wont download anything.. but anything helps so PLEASE HELP ME DO THISS! MAY BE FAKE IF YOUVE HAD IT FOR A MONTH AND THEY CAME OUT LIKE 2 WEEKS AGO UNLESS YOUR FRIEND WORKS WITH APPLE..
