I’ve read that for the career path I want I have to be in algebra 1 my freshman year, and I feel like im behind and Im not learning anything in pre algebra. I’m transferring soon can the guidence counseler switch me to algebra 1?

You can, BUT…
In algebra 1 they assume you know everything from pre-algebra. They usually just go more in depth, or build on it. I would not recommend it, I would just take pre-algebra first semester and take algebra 1 next semester.
