Tears of an Angel: I want to start a dance team for middle school kids at our school?
I go to a very small school. I dance at my dance studio 6 hours a week. I really want to be on a dance team because it would be like a sport, something I could represent my school in. The only problem is we don’t have one. How do I start a dance team for my school? Do we need a specific teacher or anything?

Not really if you are doing it with people your age, put some flyers up around school and talk to various people about it.

you should talk to your principal about it. if that doesn’t work than do it out side of school but have it be people from your school. if you make the team outside of school you just need to make sure that you have somewhere to practice and maybe a choreographer or a teacher. once you have your team set up and stuff you should ask somebody from your school if you can preform at one of your schools sports events (like a basketball game)
oh yea and you should put some flyers or posters up around your school to let people know about auditions (if you need to audition to get in) and also to let people know about performances once you have the team.

teacher (maybe they can have a dance
unit), or a teacher.

I don’t think you need a specific
teacher but you probably won’t be able
to tumble.
