I have no friends, how should I “survive” school?

tori♥: I have no friends, how should I “survive” school?
I’m a junior in high school this year and have been at the same school for all of high school. Freshman year and last year I had friends, but this year my “friends” suddenly stopped talking to me and inviting me to hang out.. I tried to talk to them and invite them places and they never wanted to. So basically now, I have no friends. At lunch I sit in the StuCo room and eat by myself (I’m in StuCo). How do I survive high school with no friends?

Stay focused on learning, and go to college. The people you are friends with now, or even know now, you probably won’t talk to them in 5 years anyways. It’s not the high school years you want to remember and hold on to, it’s the college years 😉

You don’t! Make some more. They obviously were not your TRUE friends anyways! When you walk around the halls, or wherever, just randomly say hi to people, and try to start conversations. Who cares is some people would think your getting into their business. One of those times, i am sure, someone will answer you back who is friendly.

I know how you feel, ive had that happen before. But honestly, act like it doesnt phase you. When it happened to me, i embraced spending time with my family. And there is ALWAYS other people you can hang out with at school. Unfortunately, i went to a small school so there werent many other people to be friends with but i still talked to everyone. I would say just have fun with your family and dont worry about other people, they arent worth it.
