zephyrgirl636: How to stop a parrot from biting?
I have heard of so many different ways to train a parrot not to bite. Mine is just a baby and i want to make sure i nip this problem in the bud. Any suggestions? What I’m currently doing is telling her to go “gentle” and pushing my finger into her mouth, rather than yanking it away.

I think that is the correct way to do it. My parrot bites, I wish my mother in law (she was the breeder we got him from) would have taught him not to bite correctly. She told us to tap him on the beak and say no, which is definately not right, it just makes him ANGRY!
It largely depends why she’s biting. Given her age, it may be a “teething” stage that many parrots go through, and it’s not sexual. What you’re doing is a good immediate response. Beyond that, see
