areemetz: How often are domestic airline stewards away from home?
My friend is contemplating getting a job for an airline, possibly as a stewardess, but she is worried about being away from home too often. She has pets and would like to be home every night. Do stewards for domestic airlines have regular work days?

Depends on the airline and where she flys to. But usually they fly out one day and fly home in a day or two.
To better improve your chances of being home every day, it’s usually best to choose a regional airline, which may have more “turn-around” flights with no overnight stays. Your friend will need to keep in mind that flight schedules can be messed up with snow storms and other things, so she’ll need someone who can fill in if she gets stuck out.
