Mommy of 3 boys 🙂: How many gifts do you get your kids for Christmas?
My kids are 2 1/2 and 4, and I’m curious what a proper amount of gifts to open are for them Christmas morning. How many should they each have under the tree, and how many stocking stuffers should they each get? I have gotten them each 9 gifts so far. I don’t want to spoil them but I kinda do! How many should come from Santa, and how many from mommy and daddy?

I have 2 brothers, and we’re all 4 years apart. I know that when we were smaller, like your children, we got several small gifts. Building blocks here, legos there. However, as we got older, we got less and less because the price of the present increased. I can’t really help with the stockings, because we never had those.
To sum it up, I wouldn’t worry about it now. But don’t overdo it. 12 max, imo, and that’s pushing it.
Since I think there is too much focus for kids on the idea of Santa Claus, I prefer the gifts be limited to 3 from “him” because that is the number of gifts that were given by the Kings to baby Jesus.Answer by Who am I?
Well, I think that you should spoil them every Christmas, can you imagine being a little kid coming into a room and looking at a butt-load of presents?! I’d be super excited! In my opinion I think that it should be an equal amount of mommy and daddy presents and then santa presents. There only that age once and give them a christmas to remember! You should also make some proof of Santa too! They love that! And fill there stockings until they can’t take no more!

I can’t give my kids any gifts for Christmas. I don’t have any money this year. So they’ll get what ever the local charity gives them.Answer by Edwin Joseph VG
Honestly, it doesn’t really matter how many gifts you give them, the most important thing is that you provide them what they wished for.
If your son likes robots, don’t give him a car.
If you daughter like dollhouse, don’t give him a barbie alone.
Basically, what I do with my sons and daughters is that I ask them to create a list of toys they wanted as a gift. Then I choose from those list randomly.
In you case, I do believe you can ask your 4 year old kid. But for your 2 1/2 old kid, just give him anything he likes. I’m sure you have an idea of at least his favorite toy 🙂 Hope this helps
